Lost and WON

Adored a girl from the beginning of May,

mind engulfed in her thoughts almost everyday.

Her blue eyes giving a stare,

was overwhelmed to see it was rare.

The smile on her face,

motivated me to fight another race.

Her long hair darker than darkest night,

all set to show its glistening might.

Her innocence like a child,

her touch so soothing and mild.

The panache in her walk,

made the world turn and talk.

I admired somebody,

a day made me realized I was nobody.

The time of dismay came,

was I a victim of blame game?

She said it was a fault in me,

but I could hardly see.

She turned again and again,

Alas! to witness my pain.

Forgotten for a while,

unable to crawl even a mile.

A cherub whispered in my ear,

loads left to be conquered my dear!

The string of lost hopes,

aided as mighty ropes.

Arose yet again to the morning glory,

with a fresh start to my ended story.

Lessons conned from my past,

propelled me to move lil more fast.

Future seemed to be full of accolades,

sentiments of past haunted as sharp blades.

Left no time for thoughts of gloom,

as I was busy weaving a fresh handloom.

Path to success was embellished with precious stones,

every turn astonished me with new thrones.

Success always invited me,

failures never threatened me.

Discovering from the past,

recovering faster and fast,

I left everyone aghast.

There came another May,

the world had lots to say.

A Joker of misfortunes,

was now a King of splendid Fortunes.

Nature at its Best

I transit from the chaos of urban life

to the wonderful side of my rejuvenated life.

Felt the Mother Nature so close to me,

telling me that “you are now set free”.

The rustle of dried leaves

seemed like enchanted hymns uttered in peace.

As the wind blows, the fields sway,

till my vision goes away and away.

The cool sea breeze embracing me tight,

a wonderful feeling full of delight.

The waves wanted to play,

not tomorrow but today.

The crabs frisking from place to place,

all I could see was they were ready for a race.

The seaside rocks telling a story,

be firm and please don’t worry.

Windmills going on and on,

signifying that Life’s cycle has to go on.

From Hills…….To The Sea

Call it madness or recklessness, we had a plan;

that our tour should never stick to a plan.

It was not just another day,

the joyful disposition was there to stay.

Towards the end there was something in store,

Got all I wanted not less but certainly more.

The early morning chill,

the carpet of tea was a magnificent still.

The drive started among the greens,

delimited by the most heavenly scenes.

The highs and lows of the terrain,

and there came a slight rain.

The plethora of fragrances enveloping me,

felt like a bee who was set free.

The mist hugging the hilltops,

anyone would feel elevated as he stops.

The sun rays touching my nose,

arriving through the oaks that stood in unique pose.

The twists and turns among the mist,

was unable to track time on my wrist.

We strolled across the dense,

enjoying through the nature’s lens.

Amidst the clouds as I went,

was mesmerized by the cardamom scent.

From the hills to the sea,

everyone was filled with glee.

The bus speeding through the haze,

entire route appeared as a maze.

The hilarity of the trip,

was indeed something I would never skip.

These memories are there to cherish,

And shall never vanish. . . . . . .

SOUL

It whispered the dreams in my ears,

driving away the perilous fears.

It motivated me to scale a cliff,

when the contention was stiff.

It emboldened me to cross the stormy seas,

to reach the shore at ease.

It gave me immense hope,

thin threads aided as a strong rope.

It rallied with a spark of optimism,

to vandalize the lamp of pessimism.

It tailored the skillful artistry,

to build my castle and monastery.

It helped me to explore exotic locus,

with success as the cardinal focus.

Its beauty never seen,

the origin of strength it has ever been.

It is amalgamated with the build,

never can it be killed.

It stays. . . . . . .

It stays on. . . . . . .

It stays on for Eternity. . . . . . .

A tree that said it ALL

A small cherry tree over the hill,
was indeed the most priceless still.

It endured all alone,
like a gem adorning a throne.

The lush green leaves and fruits,
hot summer witnessed a lot of loots.

With the new season in,
was time to shed the leaves to the bin.

Only the browns could be seen,
the tree was never so weak and lean.

The chill wind as it blew,
left behind solid ice and no dew.

The tree engulfed in snowy white,
seemed like a bride in sight.

As the season passed by,
a rejuvenated soul said HI.

With a pod of birds all around,
I was only left spellbound.

A small cherry tree stood alone and tall,
only to convey a moral to all.

Waves- A note of Octaves

The serene splendidness of the shore,

enthralled my mind and I asked for more.

The dolphins filled with glee and zeal,

emerged out of the wet teal.

Ouch! A bite on my hand,

the crab next to me on a victorious stand.

The coconut trees swaying in the breeze,

wind blew harder just to tease.

The gushing of the saline waves,

produced the note of Octaves.

A slight drizzle on my face,

the drops vanished with no trace.

The boats high on the seas,

even the turbulent water seemed to be at peace.

The deep blue ocean as I see,

was indeed a place worth to be.

The open sky elevated the ambience,

and fluffy clouds full of exuberance.

The orange tinge in the sky,

and the moon peeped out saying a HI.

The sun bidding the day adieu,

was indeed the most spectacular view.

Live Till the END

A poem that tells a morale to live life king size even after the victim realizes that he is afflicted by an incurable disease.

Old at age but young at heart,

never let your dreams tear apart.

Never let the disease hunt you down,

enjoy life till you drown.

Walking besides the seas,

the world seemed to be at peace.

The waves high and low,

in the sight were the boats in a row.

Kites soaring high in the sky,

clouds left subtle and shy.

Away from the bustling streets,

nature surprised me with treats.

Children filled with glee

as if sweets were given for free.

The fragrance of the flaming wood,

got allured to the delicious food.

The darkness was there to scare,

fireflies lit themselves, it was rare.

Like a kid I admired every bit,

drowsy after a while; wanted to sit.

With a brave heart and firm mind,

I walked in life as blind.

Soon my name will be erased

from world’s slate,

that is my eventual fate.

Nostalgia Gripping everyone…..

The scenario was entirely different post-ORION’10. It indeed seemed very pleasant because the emotional outburst that had happened on the 2-days of ORION actually made almost all the final year students bond together. That’s something really nice to see. I believe the banner held by the college Variety team actually did wonders. People who always thought of getting rid of college as soon as possible we indeed left with wet eyes. The banner just had two lines that touched everyone’s heart and that is when they realized, the end of colorful college life is here. The banners said,

TRIBUTE TO ALL FINAL YEAR STUDENTS…

WE WILL MISS YOU CRESCENT…..

Well, my friend Ameen was sobbing really hard next to the green room. I still cannot forget that instance, where he was hugging his friends and scolding them at the same time. Well, that is the college life as we see today. More importantly, when faculty members approach you to congratulate for putting up a grand show is something that makes you feel really important. Kudos to all the members of the organizing team for making this event a grand success. Now, we all are left with are few memories to cherish for.
